K." However, the most notable game to make it to America is River City Ransom, known as Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari in Japan and Street Gangs in Europe, in which Kunio is renamed Alex, Riki is Ryan, and everyone else is renamed, as well. Kunio") got renamed Renegade and a heavy graphics alteration for its American release, although Kunio himself got a relatively accurate name, "Mr. The first Kunio game, Nekketsu Kōha Kunio Kun (roughly translated, " Hot-Blooded Tough Guy Mr. See, since there were never any ongoing plans to release the whole series outside Japan, the various games that did make it were localized in almost as many different ways as there were different games. In the rare case that games from the series did get released abroad, though, the series was generally beloved - if not exactly recognized. Though the Kunio-kun series was successful in Japan, it was never constantly released (or consistently localized) abroad although at one time there were plans to localize more stateside under the Crash 'n The Boys label, it seems to have finally settled on the River City label. Along with his best friend/rival/sidekick Riki, and a variety of other characters cut from the same cloth, Kunio fights lots of guys in the street, competes in various sporting events (which are also pretty violent) and otherwise generally does what your typical Japanese high school student does. He is named after Technos's former president, Kunio Taki. Kunio") is the name given to the one-time mascot of Technos Japan Corp, a now defunct Japanese video game developer. Parts of Act 3 were still difficult, but doable.Kunio-kun (" Mr. Personally, I hung around Act 2 for a long time when I played as Glen. Don't do the Merv Tower mission until you're maybe at least level 20, and have all of your moves unlocked, and stats maxed. Seems like it would be easiest to start a new file, that way you can go back to an easier part of the game. Thanks for the info, but i have decided to wait with Bruno untill i complete the game (If i just can get through the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss) or restart on new file Good thread with some Bruno tips and combos: I suggest using guides and watching combo-video for better understanding of the game basics. And starting story mode from beginning with different (easier) character would be much more beneficial for you. Then you can start improving your strength stat, or buy most useful moves (if you don't intend on learning to play luchador style, i suggest buying Heel Kick and Gravity Kick as the simplest efficient DPS combos).īut then again, I'm afraid you're ruining your experience with game. Then get your health to above 100-200 hp. Then I suggest saving at Auto shop and use bus stop nearby (get inside, stun-lock enemies, forget about cash, farm exp). If you're only level 11 (and have only gotten this far by playing online), i suggest you save at a different hideout near sauna first, and maximize your health. Imho, you'd better forget about farming and just start the game over. The problem is that I'm only level 11 with bruno. One of the floors spawns like four at once with one health each, so you'll immediately kill them all. If you have a special that does multiple hits, throw it right in front of the door as the elevator stops, and you'll catch them all with it as they come out. Though need players to carry me in the elevator. yeah i noticed the elevator ride gives lots of xp. Other than that - try to catch openings between enemy blocks, make use of weapons (good reach and throws), don't get surrounded - fight in corners, near dumpsters and use crowd control moves. Other best money/exp farming tactics so far are either connected with last mission auto-save points (and easy agents killing in the elevator), crowd-killing moves or weapon usage in tight spots (sewers entrance from school backyard - ideal in coop, as it is possible to make whole crowd land in one tight spot where one Rudy/Glen/Prove special kills whole group or use of barbells in gym), or tight spots and areas, where it is easy to control the enemy (bus stops, dojo's, shops). And you don't really need to fight that much or farm money when you're at the last mission. It is super easy to farm money on tutorial dragon twins once you've completed the game.
